What can I add?

You're probably tiring about hearing about the debt ceiling. And you should be -- this has gone on far longer than it ever should have.

The debt ceiling has been raised dozens of times in the past 10 years without any fanfare. Suddenly, we have a truly global crisis.

There's not a lot for little ol' me to add. There are professionals who get paid to speculate and analyze about this.

But I will say this: This Congress is full of the odious teabaggers, people who are interested in being as reactionary as possible. Because so many are inexperienced, they probably had no idea what a "debt ceiling" was before they got into office; this is what happens when you don't vet your candidates.

Now, they insist on not raising the debt ceiling under any circumstances, American people be damned. I am all for principle; I am not for blind ideology to the point of harm.

They claim to want to save money, yet not raising the debt ceiling will increase interest rates, costing everyone more.

They came into office on the promise of creating jobs. Have you seen them propose one jobs bill? No -- they're too busy restricting abortion and trying to prevent people from voting.

There's not much about the situation that you don't already know. You don't need me to explain it to you; the sites listed on the right will offer much better insight.

But the one thing I have to do is call out those people who would rather gum up the works for political gain instead of representing the hopes of the American electorate. And those enemies are from within.
